cylindrical body of spindle-like profile, with eight fingerholes in two rows and two thumbholes; the lower end is stopped; similar to the ocarina

Decoration: stained light brown

Sound compass, tuning: diatonic, major scale; the range of two octaves may be achieved with the use of overblowing; the player may produce chromatic sounds using the piper's grip (which is rare in folk performance practice); an individual flute's tone and tuning depends on the layout of fingerholes, the instrument's size and precision of its execution
